But to replace Discord with almost all features the Matrix protocol is the only existing solution and on top it delivers the required encryption for private communication. I mean, AIM was designed for temporary, low-bandwidth connections to begin with, and meshnet is generally low-bandwidth, so I can't imagine that OpenOSCAR couldn't work over that.
